Join us on Wednesday, September 2d at 7PM in San Martín, CA, as we come together around the sacred fire to listen, learn, and receive the ancestral teachings of the Wixárika Nation.
We are honored to host Marakame Modesto Rivera, who is traveling from Nayarit to share stories, cosmology, and living traditions passed down through his lineage.
This will be an evening of connection, learning, and cultural exchange, including:
• Introduction to Ancestral Cosmology
• Live Traditional Song & Dance
• Creation Stories
• Art Exhibition
• Q&A
• Private Limpias (energetic blessings and cleanses) with Marakame Modesto Rivera
• Indigenous Art Mercadito
• Pan de Elote & Café de Olla available for purchase
Our Indigenous Art Mercadito will feature handmade art, jewelry, traditional pieces, and other offerings from Indigenous artists and families. Corn bread and traditional Café de Olla will also be available throughout the evening.
Registration is required to attend.
All participants must register and submit their donation ($10–$40 sliding scale) to receive the event address and be added to the guest list. The address will be shared a few days prior to the gathering.
This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for the elements.
We look forward to gathering in a good way, in prayer, and in community.
With respect and gratitude,
